My Journey into Memory Keeping
Before Heart and Hand Creations, I spent years as a staff trainer — a career built on teaching, guiding, and helping others grow. When retirement came, I found myself drawn to a quieter kind of creativity: the art of memory keeping.
Scrapbooking and journaling became more than a hobby. They became a way to honor the stories that make up a life — family moments, milestones, everyday joys. But I quickly noticed a common problem: most people who wanted to scrapbook felt overwhelmed before they even started. Too many choices. Too much pressure to make it perfect. Albums that never got finished.
That’s when the idea for Heart and Hand Creations took shape. Instead of selling complete kits that dictated every detail, I began designing album bases — thoughtfully structured foundations that give crafters a clear starting point without removing the personal touch. The result? Albums that actually get made. Stories that actually get told.
